The ASISA Foundation Trust was founded in 2012 by the Association for Savings and Investment South Africa (ASISA), an industry body that represents the collective interests of South Africa’s asset managers, collective investment scheme management companies, linked investment service providers, multi-managers, and life insurance companies. It began operations in 2013.
The ASISA Foundation forms part of ASISA Foster the Future, alongside the ASISA Academy and ASISA Enterprise Supplier Development (ESD). The Foundation is a trust, registered as a non-profit organisation (NPO), a public benefit organisation (PBO) and a Broad-based Ownership Scheme (B-BOS). Through its programmes, the ASISA Foundation provides financial education in terms of the Amended Financial Sector Code FS500 and GN500 to individuals in communities, workers, young adults in tertiary institutions, and township and rural business owners.
The ASISA Foundation provides targeted financial education through its five programmes.
Since 2013 the ASISA Foundation, with its funders and partners, has empowered hundreds of thousands of South Africans with financial education. Download the booklet, watch the videos and read the stories of the ASISA Foundation’s infinite impact over its first 10 years.
