South Africa’s new Two-Pot Retirement System came into effect on 1 September 2024 and many South Africans are grappling with understanding how the new system works and its impact on their retirement plans.
To help South Africans to understand the new system the ASISA Foundation is running a 4-week educational radio campaign.
The campaign “Let’s Talk Two-Pot” aims to educate audiences about the importance of saving and investing with a specific focus on the Two-Pot Retirement System to enhance listeners’ understanding of retirement planning.
Through the campaign the ASISA Foundation wants to empower people with financial knowledge to begin to save more and invest these savings to improve their financial stability.
The campaign includes a four-week long radio campaign that will engage audiences in discussions and activities to help them learn about the new system.

To extend the campaign to a wider audience the ASISA Foundation will be running a 12- week campaign on the ASISA Foundation Facebook Page to share informative snippets, intriguing facts, and engaging visuals that will bring the Two-Pot Retirement System to life. Plus you can enter weekly competitions to win one of three R500 Takealot vouchers.
