Side Hustle

The global pandemic has taught us the value of having income coming in from different directions. Hustlers are clear on having a diversified form of income to ensure that their resourcefulness enables financial resilience.

What Is a Side Hustle?

An activity or business you do to earn extra money – on the side- while working a full-time job or completing an education. You can start a side hustle from home, both offline or online.

How do you identify your Side Hustle?

Working in the gig economy can give you different revenue streams. It is important to identify your skills, resources and experience to make some extra money. Once you have identified these, do some research to help you figure out what these opportunities might be for you with your skill set. Here are a few questions to ask yourself:

  1. Do you have a goal for your side hustle?
  2. Can you fit a side hustle into your schedule?
  3. Do you need to buy equipment or supplies?
  4. Will you hire other people?
  5. Will you break even? (Will you make enough money to cover your costs)?
  6. How will you market your side hustle?
  7. Do you have your first clients lined up?

You can achieve your side hustle goal. Watch this video here to find out how Sbu the Hustler is managing his side hustle.

How do you manage your Hustle?

  1. Time management – properly manage your time and stay on tasks exclusively until you have accomplished what you need to accomplish for the day.
  2. Understand your skill sets – be clear on what you can do and where you need help. Hire the best skills you can and develop yourself and your team along the journey.
  3. Be efficient and honest – do not compromise the quality of your work. Remember it is your work that is giving you the money so you can reach your goals.
  4. Develop your entrepreneurial mindset – invest in yourself and grow your entrepreneurial mindset.
