If the information contained on your credit report is incorrect you can challenge that information. To challenge the information you can do the following:
- Contact at least three credit bureaus to check your credit report.
- If there is incorrect information on your credit report contact the credit bureau to lodge a dispute.
- To do this explain which information is incorrect and provide them with supporting documentation to support your claim.
- You will need to allow the credit bureau 30 days to respond to you
- In some cases you will need to contact the credit bureau and the credit provider concerned to address the issue.
